IPhone Virus / Adware

Image
I finally got a virus on my IPhone. It's jailbroken so my friends would say 'told you so'. I hit update all in Cydia and assumed one of the tweaks I was using had the virus so I removed them all and still didn't get rid of it. Finally I found the issue was an app I downloaded with App cake. There are lots of them which have evil adware in them.

Tower Madness Cheats, IPhone cheats

I recently succumbed to peer pressure and purchased an IPhone. I quickly became addicted to downloading free apps and games. I then started working out how to write IPhone apps and jailbroke, unlocked and installed my first app. This experience allowed me to start playing with other application settings and thats how I found some cheats for IPhone games. For the cheat today you will need to be able to access the file system of your IPhone. You can do this with a jail broken phone using IPhoneBrowser.exe and a windows box or by using the IFile application found in Cyder. There are two version of Tower Madness. IPhone not listed in ITunes (iTunesDB corrupt)

So, you plugged the IPhone in and for some reason it’s not showing up in ITunes. You can tell that the computer has recognised a USB device because you can see the drive in File explorer. If you have a Jailbroken phone the thought of having to restore with ITunes sux. It would take hours to put all of your CYDIA apps back on, sort your icons and generally setup the phone so you can use it again. The solution is to rename the iTunes_Control folder to something else. On my IPhone, it’s located at /var/mobile/Media/ . Then load up ITunes and it will recognise it as a new device. Make sure NOT to restore when prompted. I use iPhoneBrowser to browse the operating system of my phone. It can be found here. http://code.google.com/p/iphonebrowser/downloads/list
